The Chicago Bulls forever changed their fate when Michael Jordan slipped into their lap in the 1984 NBA draft. Although the team had fielded respected and extremely talented players like Jerry Sloane, Norm Truck Lier, Bob Love, Clifford Ray, Artis Gilmore, Reggie Theus and Orlando Woolridge in its history, it wasn’t till the coming of Jordan did the Bulls soar to an elite level.

While the Chicago Bulls franchise certainly featured some talented teams in their storied history. There isn’t any doubt that the greatest Bulls team ever goes to the 1995-96 team. The Bulls arguably fielded one of the most complete starting lineups in team history. They had Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper and Luc Longley. They also had an excellent group of reserves in Steve Kerr, Jud Buechler, Toni Kukoc, Randy Brown, and Bill Wennington. This team was a public favorite when it came to betting the NBA.

The Bulls posted one of the best single-season turnarounds in league history and the best single-season record, moving from 47″35 to 72″10, which is still the best regular season record in NBA history. Jordan won his eighth scoring title, Rodman his fifth rebounding title and Kerr ranked second in 3 point shooting percentage. Jordan would go on to win the triple-crown as he won the All-Star MVP, regular season MVP and Finals MVP. Jerry Krause won Executive of the year, Phil Jackson won Coach of the year and Toni Kukoc won the Sixth Man of the Year. Both Pippen and Jordan were selected to the All-NBA First Team. Rodman, Pippen and Jordan were also selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team. It’s the only time three players from one team have all been named to the Defensive First Team.

Aside from all their achievements and records, they also boast other team records including the best start to a regular seasonin NBA history at 41-3, the most consecutive home wins to start a season (37) and the second best home record in history at 39-2 trailing only the legendary 1985-86 Celtics at 40-1. They also boast the longest home winning streak at 44 games going back to the previous season. With all of the accolades and awards the team has, the 1995-96 Bulls team has been regarded as one of the best teams in the history of Basketball.

The Bulls bulldozed thru the playoffs, easily defeating Miami, New York and Orlando before facing the Seattle Supersonics in the Finals. The Bulls won the finals in six games. Sealing their fourth championship in six years. The 1995-96 Bulls team would stake their claim in NBA history as one of the best groups in all of basketball and clearly the best team in Bulls history.
